This is a list of the most frequently asked questions we get from people when they first discover our site. If you have a question that is not included within this list, please feel free to contact us at RollerDerbyLA(at)gmail.com.

What is the purpose of RollerDerby.LA?
The purpose of this site is to have a centralized directory of everything roller derby in Los Angeles and nearby areas. There is a huge community made up of players, teams, leagues, enforcers and venues in L.A. We want to make it easy for people to search and navigate through all that data with the help of this website.

Who runs the site?
Please read our About RDLA page to find out who the creators of this site are, and their motivation & reasons for creating it.

Is RollerDerby.LA associated with a specific league?
No, we are an independent website with no affiliation to any of the leagues or organizations listed within our directory.

Where is my skater profile?
All of the skater profiles are submitted by the skaters themselves. We do not add anyone’s profiles ourselves out of respect for the individuals and their organizations.

How can I add my skater profile?
If you would like to be added to the directory, click here to go to our submissions form.

Why do I have to submit a photo myself?
Just like the information contained within your skater profile, your photo needs to come from you. We want you to look your best in your profile, and who better to make that call than you?

Can’t you just grab a photo from my FaceBook profile?
No. RDLA respects the work of all creative people, and that includes photographers. We will only post photos with permission by the respective photographer, and will link back to them whenever possible.

How can I add my team/league?
Our site is currently set up for skaters and leagues only, but we will be expanding the directory to include teams, referees and other resources in the near future. If you would like to add a league page, please email us at RollerDerbyLA(at)gmail.com.

I’m a photographer and would like to submit a photo for an existing profile. How do I do that?
If you have no way of contacting the skater directly, please email us with the name and link to the skater you would like to submit a photo for. We will contact them in your behalf and inform them of your desire to submit a photo for them.

How can I help?
The best way to help us grow the site right now, is by getting the word out. You can ask your teammates to submit their profiles to the directory.

Can I get a sticker or pin?
Sure thing! Just send us an email and we will figure out what the best way to get you a sticker is. We usually have them with us at bouts we attend, or we can simple mail you some.
